AUSTIN

BOSTON

Sunny Los Angeles offers a lot of great things for rowers, to the best you can in a row all year. There are very few days each year when the weather is still getting a great workout. PHILADELPHIA

Philadelphia is home to dozens of races each year, including Dad Vail Regatta, Stotesbury Cup Regatta, the Independence Day Regatta and the Head of the Schuylkill. SEATTLE

Boating in Seattle rather than mystical. Rowers often begin their day with release, while looking at the top of Mount Rainier, and seeing the reflection of Dawn of the city at a glance. Then there are a lot of water to choose from, each of which has a different taste and feel. Rowers can take a direction in a transport channel to the Puget Sound (the locks), where barges, ships and large fishing boats to along the coast. Rowing on Lake Union offers the opportunity to see the breathtaking skyline of Seattle. Turn north of Lake Union and Portage Bay is home to many houseboats up and down in the water. The Montlake Cut, or "cut", as is known, connects through the locks of Puget Sound to Lake Washington. Once through the cut, Husky rowers usually populate this area. Remo offers a spectacular view of Lake Washington from the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier.

A few miles from Fremont is another neighborhood called Ballard. In Ballard, you can still hear the Swedish and Norwegian are talking in the streets. Ballard traditionally hosted the fishing industry in Seattle, which was dominated by Scandinavian immigrants. If you want fresh fish market, this is the place to go.

WASHINGTON, DC

Rowing in the capital of the country since early 1800. The old boat club in Washington, DC, Potomac Boat Club (about , 1869), is more than thirty years. Thompson Boat Center, a public school located a half mile of the river unless the Potomac Boat Club hosts the bulk of high school and college rowing programs in the area. Obviously, are numerous tourist attractions in Washington, DC, but a couple of sites near the Potomac Boat Club and the Thompson Boat Center include the Iwo Jima Memorial and Arlington Cemetery National Cathedral, and a large number of monuments around the Smithsonian, and walking and shopping in historic Georgetown, Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan. If near the capital Rowing Club, a nice place to visit during the weekend is the Eastern Market, an outdoor crafts and food market has been in place over 100 years. A beautiful place to have lunch or dinner right on the Potomac River is Tony and Joe and Sequoia at the port of Georgetown in Washington. In summer, these restaurants are packed on weekends, and are perfect places for people watching.
